Tribute to Colin Jerwood

„Turning rebellion into money“ was THE life-changer record for me. Forever implementing a certain mindset into my head: Punk is politically, strictly antifascist. Animal rights, too. DIY - in so many facettes: you don‘t need someone doing it for you, you CAN DO IT on your own. You will make mistakes. Try to learn from them. Do it again. Differently. It will not always be easy. There‘s a lot of work in the D. But it‘s in your hands. You‘ve got the control. You don‘t need to follow a mainstream. You can not care about it. Great. Let them do theirs, I‘ve got mine. Fuck it. But: Stick together with the ones who deserve it. Being loyal. Be resilient. Against all odds. Keep on keeping on. I might go on for hours. As mentioned above: a true life-changer. Then you have a look at a social media-channel in the morning and you read the news and there‘s immediate mourning. Something I don‘t feel often when a person dies, who‘s not personally close to me. Then it was time for some serious CONFLICT listening. Wishing everyone the strength to get through dark/bad times after the loss. Especially those who were really close to Colin.
